Homestead Power is a combustion turbine power plant located in Austin County, TX . Nightpeak Energy began developing Homestead in 2024. The project will improve ERCOT grid reliability, will provide numerous construction jobs, and will support a number of ongoing operations and maintenance jobs throughout it’s life. The project is under development and targeted to begin operation in 2028.
