Paris Hays is a power industry veteran with repeated success leading teams that develop and execute conventional and utility-scale solar and energy storage power projects throughout the United States. Paris draws on his varied power industry and project development experiences to his dual role as CEO and Chief Development Officer of Nightpeak Energy.
Prior to founding Nightpeak Energy, Paris served as Director of Project Development at Recurrent Energy, a leading North American utility-scale solar and energy storage project developer. As Director, Paris headed an industry-leading team developing, financing, and executing utility-scale solar and energy storage projects within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) energy market. Paris’ team was responsible for building one of the premier solar and energy storage portfolios in the western US, as well as commercializing some of the first standalone energy storage and hybrid solar + storage energy projects in the country.
Before joining Recurrent, Paris served as Manager of Project Acquisitions and Joint Development at SunEdison, where he was responsible for partnering with other developers to jointly develop and finance distributed and small wholesale solar plants across the US. Paris began his career in the gas and steam turbine group at Siemens Energy in the US and Germany.
Paris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Brown University.
