Shayne leads project development efforts at Nightpeak Energy, leveraging deep experience and professional relationships throughout California and beyond to ensure projects are successful. Shayne has over 20 years of real estate, development, and asset management experience with a focus on negotiations, acquisitions, entitlement, rezoning and development project management.
Prior to joining Nightpeak Energy, Shayne oversaw real estate and land matters at Sempra Energy and San Diego Gas & Electric. Shayne’s focus on the project development cycle for SDG&E’s helped develop utility infrastructure including high-voltage transmission systems, substations, microgrids and he helped bring online over 300 MW of energy storage and hydrogen projects with SDG&E’s Advanced Clean Technology team.
Prior to SDG&E, Shayne was the Supervisor of Real Estate at the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) where he managed real estate, land and permitting functions. Some of the projects that he developed while at IID included various utility scale solar and energy storage facilities.
Shayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, San Diego and is a licensed real estate broker within the State of California.
