Maelym serves as Manager of Finance and Capital Markets at Nightpeak, where she is responsible for assisting capital markets transactions, project M&A, and financing execution for the company. She brings a deep understanding of structured finance within different regulatory schemes from her experience with complex financial structures in the infrastructure sector in Latin America.
In her most recent role as an Investment Intern at Gold Leaf Farming, Maelym worked assessing the firm’s potential acquisitions and greenfield development projects, as well as assessing the environmental impact of the company. She began her career as an Investment Banker with LatAm Capital Advisors, a boutique firm focused on providing investment banking services to the infrastructure sector in Latin America, where she participated in transactions valued at more than $8 billion.
Maelym has an MBA (with Michaels Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business) from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, where she focused on the development and financing of different clean energy technologies. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from ITAM in Mexico City.
